In Bansko Municipality as well as in many places in Bulgaria, the following preserved dishes and starters are made: baked peeled marinated peppers; pickles of various vegetables (pepper, carrot, cabbage (and as a sauerkraut), green tomato, red beet, etc.); red tomatoes; lutenica (milled tomato, pepper, carrot, eggplant and then coagulated with spices); compotes of different fruits (quince, cherry, peach, plum, ginkgo); sweet of different fruits (forest strawberries, blueberries, quinces, cherries).
