Celebrations under the Day of Bansko (first week of October)

5th of October is the day of Bansko. On October 5th, 1912 Bansko was liberated from Turkish slavery and traditionally this day is celebrated as a feast of the town. The holiday day begins with a solemn liturgy at the Holy Trinity Church where Peyo Yavorov announces that Bansko are released. The program is intense and very exciting.
